Amish "plain" clothing is made with deep colored solid fabrics. Common Amish colors worn among the Lancaster County Amish are black, green, blue, burgundy and purple. Years ago, the Amish began using the scraps left over from making clothes for the fabric of their quilts. Today, the traditional colors are what they continue to use for the quilts in their homes.

Our Amish Colors bed quilts are hand-crafted in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania by local Amish women. Quilt tops and backings are made with 100% cotton fabrics. The batting of our quilts (the middle layer of each quilt) are made of a cotton and polyester blend.
